Using the Summary E-mail

A Junk Mail Manager Summary e-mail, which you receive in your regular e-mail account, provides an easy way to manage quarantined messages. It lets you monitor your junkmail messages and check for ones that you want but have been accidentally categorized as junkmail. You can easily identify a Junk Mail Manager Summary message by its unique subject line. Each summary has a date and a time stamp.

The table below lists the actions you can take for each junkmail message listed in your Junk Mail Manager Summary e-mail.

Action Do this...

Deliver it.

Click the Deliver icon.
The junkmail message is released from quarantine and sent to your regular e-mail account. A confirmation appears in a popup window.

Approve it.

Click the Approve icon.
------------
Note: If you approve a message from a sender who has multiple messages in quarantine, a dialog box will appear. In the dialog box, click OK to approve all messages from that sender. If you click Cancel, none of the messages from that sender are approved.
------------
An approved message is sent to your regular e-mail account and the sender is automatically added to your Allowed Senders list. A confirmation appears in a popup window. Messages from approved senders do not undergo any anti-spam scanning or junkmail filtering, and they are always sent to your regular e-mail account.

View it.

Click the respective link in the Subject column.
The message displays in a popup window.
------------
Note: Since the downloading of images in e-mails can aid spammers in their tracking efforts, Junk Mail Manager will not display .gif images. Once you deliver the message to your regular e-mail account, you will be able to view the images.
------------
From the popup window, you can deliver or approve the message, as well as click the Open link to display the message contents (including any HTML code used) in another window.
Do nothing.

Neither deliver nor approve the message. (It's up to you whether you want to view it.)
Quarantined messages listed in the summary e-mail will automatically expire after a period of time designated by your system administrator.
